Here is where the work is done to sew the creations. I use a Brother computerized sewing machine. It also has the capabilities to embroider. Next to it is the Singer serger. I use this for the fabric types that unravel easily.
A table covered with a cutting board for cutting out the patterns is off to the side so all I have to do is turn my chair to the side.. I use the floor to actually take the dress apart. Since the wedding dress has so much fabric and can be heavy, the floor allows me to spread out.
My main thread is either white or off white. As in the first picture, I have spools of colored thread displayed. I buy rolls of 3/8” or 5/8” double sided ribbon from Amazon. I can get a roll of 100’ for just over $12. I do buy blue, yellow or green trims to use on the boy gowns or wraps.
I have a nice comfy chair along with my cute assistant who sits on the chair with me. She leaves me room to sit on the edge of that comfy chair. 😂
Could you use small scraps of satin fabric to put in your angel gowns? Big enough for a vest or yoke. I have a variety of colors from pagent capes I make. Please send me an email. Thank you Brenda DeLoach
